State Constitution
Article V, Section 1 of the Alaska Constitution states: “In all elections by the people, the qualifications for voting shall be as follows: Every citizen of the United States who is at least eighteen years of age, who has been a resident of the state and of the election district in which he seeks to vote for at least thirty days just before the election, and who is registered before the election as required by law, shall be a qualified voter. Any person disqualified by law because of conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude, unless his civil rights have been restored, or because of mental incompetency, is not qualified to vote.”
State Statute
Alaska Statute states:
A person may vote at any election who
(1) is a citizen of the United States;
(2) is 18 years of age or older;
(3) has been a resident of the state and of the house district in which the person seeks to vote for at least 30 days just before the election; and
(4) has registered before the election as required under AS 15.07 and is not registered to vote in another jurisdiction.
