2019 Sense of Congress Resolution

The U.S. Congress On The Record

Thanks to Rep. Dan Crenshaw’s 2019 Sense of Congress resolution, the U.S. House of Representatives is ON RECORD regarding non-citizen voting, including voting by non-citizens who are in the United States illegally.

“It is of paramount importance that the United States maintains the legitimacy of its elections and protects them from interference,” Rep. Crenshaw (R-Tex.) argued, “including interference from foreign threats and illegal voting.”

Crenshaw’s resolution also noted, “The city of San Francisco, California, is allowing non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, to register to vote in school board elections.”

The Sense of Congress Resolution

“It is the sense of Congress that allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote devalues the franchise and diminishes the voting power of United States citizens.”
